Eliot Church Closed Through March 29

Dear Eliot Members and Friends,

Eliot Church onsite services are suspended through March 29. Most other in-person events will also be postponed. During that time we will evaluate our Palm Sunday and Easter plans.

No doubt you are aware that things have moved quickly on the Coronavirus front.  We are following the recommendations of fellow church-leaders, local congregations, our two denominations, and practically everyone else!  It was not an easy choice to make.  However, we are doing our part to help mitigate the effects of the current epidemic.

That said, we are also working on ways to stay in touch!  Right now we are planning to go “live” in Zoom chats on both March 22 (when Tara will lead a presentation and discussion of spiritual practices) and March 29 (when Adam will facilitate a discussion around the book “Tears We Cannot Stop: A Sermon to White America”.  In addition we will be posting additional worship content–such as sermons–during this time.  Please look for our emails and other notifications over the next few weeks.

Our sermons will be broadcast via Youtube and our meetings via Zoom.

Again, please be safe and look out for each other.  These are rough times but we will get through them.  We look forward to keeping in touch with you virtually.  Please let us know if you need anything from us.  We are your church and the current situation does not change that.  We love you. We look forward to seeing you online. We look forward to seeing you in person once we can!

Yours in Faith and Hope,

Adam and Rosemary
